alright

A monster has been unleashed in my house.
Don't get me wrong. When it first showed up, it was cute and fuzzy and fun to have around.

But as the weeks have gone by, this thing has been fed and watered and is getting to be slightly out of control.

This monster goes by one name:

Alright.

Now, the idea is if someone was to say 'what?' or 'huh?' as a result of not hearing a question, the person they are talking to should punish them by saying the word 'alright' instead.
This had the good intention of stopping a rude habit from developing further.

Right?

Wrong.

Because the monster has reared it's ugly monster-head and has become a trap.

Both Alex and Adam have started luring people into saying those words in order to use the monster.

You probably can't understand why this is a sport in my house and in order to understand it, you must understand how it is said.

It is not said like this:

Rather, it is said like this:
Note the double chin and flailing arms.

Here is an instance where it happened today:

Alex: *is talking to me*

Adam: "Kor."

Alex: *keeps talking*

Adam: "Kor. Kor. Kor. Kor. Kor. Ko-"

Alex: "WHAT?!?!?!"

Mahm: *claps* That was classic, Adam. Well done.

The monster has eaten my family.
